Now Roxanne is bringing her love for music and outstanding on-air skills to the afternoon line-up of CBS’s Fresh 105.9. Her girl-next-door charisma and down to earth appeal have made her a friend to her audience. Growing up in Los Angeles, CA, Roxanne always loved music and spent quite a bit of her time listening to the radio. “I remember coming home from school and running to turn the radio on so I could hang out with my favorite DJ’s and dance to all my favorite songs. I wanted to be a radio personality for as long as I can remember. I used to call in to request songs and try to win every contest. I was a big radio fan as a kid and today I still am.”
Roxanne joined the radio scene while she was just a senior in high school. She was given her own show on the campus radio station and quickly realized the power of the microphone and her love for entertaining. Her indisputable talent was immediately recognized and Roxanne was encouraged by her teachers to make her dream into a career. Her next stop was the Academy of Radio Broadcasting in Huntington Beach, CA.
Roxanne landed her first radio gig in Palm Springs, CA but left a year later to expand her horizons and gain more experience. With a road map in hand and a strong desire to succeed, Roxanne was on air in Washington, Texas, and Arizona before reaching her dream destination in Illinois. Chicago has become a true home for Roxanne. So after leaving B96, she decided to stay in the Windy City and wait for the right opportunity to continue doing what she loves. And she's found it at Fresh. “I am so excited to connect once again with my listeners, we have so much catching up to do!”
